Venice beach 2013 - 2023

My favorite place to shoot in Los Angeles is downtown, but I also love photographing on Venice Beach and the Santa Monica Pier. I actually moved to Los Angeles because of Venice Beach. The minute I stepped onto the Boardwalk, I knew where I must be. I moved to Los Angeles in 1994. In 1999, I started The Julia Dean Photo Workshops which became the Los Angeles Center of Photography 14 years later. For the first 12 years, the business was located on the Boardwalk of Venice Beach.
