ZIP(code) is a group exhibit of arresting imagery from seven different Southern California locations through the lenses of local photographers. The show encompasses works photographed over the past year––film and digital capture, short and long exposures, color and black and white. Each photographer has four works in ZIP(code) and four additional personal photos in an adjacent gallery space. Prints and books will be for sale at the exhibit.
“There are so many facets to a zip code, from the physical, to the emotional, to the historical, to the cultural,” says photographer Johanna Siegmann. “This rich variety is represented in the different photographic styles as well as the cultural and physical diversity of the zip code areas.”
ZIP(code) features: Gerhard Clausing (92651–Laguna Beach); Marian Crostic (90291–Venice), Chrystina Geagan (90292–Marina Del Rey) , Claire Mallett (90028–Hollywood Boulevard), Lisa McCord (90272–Pacific Palisades), Marjorie Salvaterra (90291–Venice), and Johanna Siegmann, (92274–Salton Sea).
