As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting photography in all its forms, we are especially thrilled and proud to offer the photographic community a brand new, 400 square foot darkroom. Built for the professional but user-friendly for beginners, The Darkroom at JDPW boasts five Durst 1200 4×5 enlargers complete with Rodenstock lenses, four bladed easels of all sizes, and capability of up to 20×24 prints. With high ceilings and ample ventilation, the room has already been labeled as “the nicest darkroom in Los Angeles” by master printer Steve Moulton.

$200/half day for sole use of darkroom (4 hours) Members

$400/day for sole use of darkroom (Tues, Wed and Fri only) Members
$800/day for sole use of darkroom (Tues, Wed and Fri only) Non-Members

Private instruction with Steve Moulton:

$150/hr  OR  $125/hr if at least 8 hours are purchased in advance.

NOTE: Chemicals will be prepared in advance, however, prior printing experience is required.
