HOW TO ENROLL

RECEIPT OF PAYMENT

For all phone or check enrollments, receipt of payment will be sent within one week to the student’s email account. As the workshop approaches, each student will receive a separate email providing information concerning parking, directions and what to bring.

PAYMENT

Payment in FULL is due at least two weeks prior to the workshop start date.

Note: Travel Workshops carry a different payment policy.

DEPOSIT

A 25 percent deposit of the applicable workshop fee is required to reserve space in class.

Note: Special Guest and Travel Workshops carry different deposit policies.

REDEPOSIT FEE

If a student’s credit card or check does not clear, an additional $25 fee will be charged. The Julia Dean Photo Workshops does not guarantee placement until payment is cleared.

REFUND POLICY

A $25 administrative fee will be charged on all refund requests. If the request arrives 24-72 hours prior to the workshop start date, 50 percent of the applicable workshop fee will be retained. If the request arrives within 24 hours prior to the workshop start date, 100 percent of the applicable workshop fee will be retained. No refunds are provided once a workshop begins. All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to workshops@juliadean.com.

Upon receipt of a refund request, students will be provided the option of receiving course credit towards the purchase of another workshop. If a student elects to receive credit, a voucher will be sent to the student’s email address. To redeem course credit, please email or mail the original voucher to The Julia Dean Photo Workshops. All credits must be used within one year from the date of issue. Credits will not be honored unless the original voucher is sent and received.

Note: Special Guest and Travel Workshops carry different refund policies.

TRANSFERS

Students may elect to transfer applicable course fees towards the purchase of another workshop, limit of one transfer per class. All transfer requests must adhere to the refund policy noted above and/or in conjunction with Special Guest and Travel Workshop refund policies.

CANCELLATIONS

On occasion a workshop may cancel due to low enrollment or unforeseen instructor conflicts. If such a case occurs, all students will be refunded in FULL. The Julia Dean Photo Workshops does not take responsibility for non-refundable airline tickets.

SPECIAL GUEST DEPOSIT AND REFUND POLICY

A 50 percent deposit of the applicable workshop fee is required to reserve space in class. Refund requests arriving 31 days or greater before the workshop start date will be charged a $25 administration fee. If the request arrives 16 - 30 days prior to the workshop start date, 50 percent of the applicable workshop fee will be retained. If the request arrives 0 - 15 days prior to the workshop start date, 100 percent of the applicable workshop fee will be retained. No refunds are provided once a workshop begins. All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to workshops@juliadean.com. If a student wishes to receive credit for a Special Guest workshop, he or she must do so at least one month prior to the workshop start date. Within one month of the workshop start date, the option of receiving credit does not apply and students must adhere to the Special Guest refund policy.

TRAVEL WORKSHOP DEPOSIT, PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY

A $600 deposit is required to reserve space in a Travel Workshop (which includes a $50 application fee). The balance is due 60 days prior to the start date. Refund requests arriving 61 days or more before the start date will result in forfeiture of the $50 application fee. If the request arrives 45-60 days prior to the start date, $250 will be retained. If the request arrives 30-44 days prior to the start date, the $600 deposit will be retained. If the request arrives 15-29 days prior to the start date, 50 percent of the applicable travel workshop fee will be retained. Finally, if the request arrives 0-15 days prior to the start date, 75 percent of the applicable travel workshop fee will be retained. No refunds are provided once a travel workshop begins. All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to workshops@julidean.com.

If a student wishes to receive credit for a Travel workshop, he or she must do so at least two months prior to the workshop start date. Within two months of the workshop start date, the option of receiving credit does not apply and students must adhere to the Travel workshop refund policy.

Parking for Workshops at our Venice Beach Location

There is plenty of parking available. There are two major parking lots we recommend. The first major parking lot is at the end of ROSE AVE. This lot is located 4 blocks north of our studio. The second lot is subterranean parking and is under our building at 801 Ocean Front Walk. There is free parking available on the side streets, but you may have to walk several blocks depending on where you find a spot. If you come by bike, you can park your bike inside the studio.
