Between 2004 and 2006, I took photographers on van trips around America. The first week-long photography workshop was to Nebraska, my home state. I know it well. We started in Lincoln, then traveled to places called Cairo, Broken Bow, Halsey, Dunning, and Valentine. We even took a canoe ride down the Niobrara River.
In 2005, we traveled the length of Route 61 in Mississippi, the famous "blues" highway, and in 2006, we traveled through the Appalachian Mountains. We would stop along the way in each little town and document life around us. It was great fun.
