The Art of Lighting for Impact: Make Thousands with the Glamour Market

The realm of glamour photography offers lucrative opportunities for a skilled photographer. In this workshop, students will learn the skills necessary to enhance portrait, fashion, and commercial photography with the glitz of glamour. Join Rolando Gomez as he teaches students how to produce dramatic lighting with models using reflectors, grids, scrims, soft boxes, ring flash, California Sunbounce, beauty dish, sunhaze, and the double grid method of lighting a model. Students will work indoors at The Focus Studio (www.thefocusstudio.com) a beautiful 3,000 square-foot studio on Venice Beach, as well as on location, including at the beach, thereby learning how to over-power the sun. The workshop includes class time for post-production techniques plus lectures on how to make thousands of dollars in the private, on-location glamour market. Rolando will also demonstrate the two-minute method of “cleaning up” images in Adobe Photoshop while enforcing the value behind post-production. Portfolio tips will also be offered.

His “flamour” style of photography packed standing-room-only crowds as a Lighting Master at PhotoPlus Expo (NYC), FotoFusion, and the Photo Imaging and Design Expo. He has taught over 200 consecutively sold-out workshops from Mexico to Canada and recently completed a European tour for Calumet Photographic.
