Creative Studio Lighting: The Zen of the Strobe

© Stephen Schafer
Seeking inner peace with your studio strobe system? This intense technical workshop is perfect for the studio or location shooter using strobe lighting for products and places. Join Stephen Schafer as we delve into the methods and tools that will let you create exactly the light quality you imagine and apply it to any surface on any subject.
We will begin by demonstrating how to effectively control light in simple ways. Beginning with just one light and then expanding the set to show multi-light tabletop setups, Stephen will demonstrate his multiple-grid-spot technique to selectively light intricate details. Equipment choices will be analyzed and each set will be captured with a digital camera for instant results and feedback. Bring a digital camera to shoot for your own reference book.

He has created varied multi-media presentations, museum exhibits, annual reports, and advertising campaigns in the studio and on location. The one thing that has remained consistent in his work: strobe lighting.
