Advanced Canon Digital EOS Workshop

© Amy Kawadler
This workshop is intended for those who have completed “Canon EOS System for Beginners” or are proficient with basic camera operations and wish to explore the new realm of digital. The day’s topics will revolve around getting the most out of one’s digital camera. Amy will begin with a basic refresher on accurate exposure and other camera functions, followed by an explanation of digital features like white balance, in-camera parameters, and basic workflow. The discussion then focuses on creative digital capture and maximizing the participants’ comfort level with Canon Digital EOS Cameras. There will be Canon's latest D-SLR cameras, a variety of lenses, and flashes to test-drive during a one-hour shooting assignment. If time permits, Amy will also demonstrate Canon’s raw converter, Digital Photo Professional. The class will also include a brief demonstration on Canon's wireless flash system.
Amy Kawadler received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. She relocated to Southern California the day after graduation with $300 and a camera in her hand. Before becoming a Professional Markets Rep, Kawadler worked as a photographer in the newspaper and gallery world. Now, 17 years later, as the assistant manager of the western region, Amy is working throughout the territory covering major sporting events, educational workshops, commercial programs, as well as continuing to explore her own photographic endeavors.
