Amy Kawadler

This workshop is intended for those who are proficient with basic camera operations but are getting into the new realm of digital. The day’s topics will revolve around getting the most out of one’s digital camera. Amy will begin with a basic refresher on accurate exposure and other camera functions, explanations of digital features like white balance, picture styles and more. The discussion then focuses on creative digital capture and maximizing the participants’ comfort level with Canon Digital EOS Cameras. There will be Canon's latest D-SLR cameras, a variety of lenses, and flashes to test-drive during your shooting assignments.  We then proceed into a basic workflow section using our software Digital Photo Professional to process your raw files. The class will also include a demonstration on Canon's wireless flash system, so simple it’s scary!  This workshop is intended to take you to the next step in your photography technically and creatively, inspiring and educating all in one weekend!

Amy Kawadler received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston.  She relocated to Southern California the day after graduation with $300 and a camera in her hand.  Before becoming a Professional Markets Rep, Kawadler worked as a photographer in a variety of industries. Now, 18 years later, as the manager of the western region, Amy is working throughout the territory organizing and staffing major sports and political events, educational workshops, commercial programs, as well as continuing to explore her own photographic endeavors.
